The Story
How can we know – really know – that God loves us? When times are good, when all is well with the world, it’s easy enough to believe. But what about at those times when we find ourselves not at the mountain summit, but down in the sun-starved valley floor. At those times, how can we still know He loves us and cares?
God’s love for us is not shown through nor dependent on our circumstances. And neither are our circumstances the yardstick with which to measure His love. No. God’s love is evidenced at Jesus’ cross. That He would give up His own Son for us – while we were still sinners – says it all!
“God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us”
